Who We Are
The Dominic Center began as a dream that was had by the mother of a child with autism.
Through years of challenges and the difficulty and anguish over finding appropriate services
to teach this child how to talk, how to respond, how to thrive, the dream developed in the
hopes of saving other parents the frustration over having to travel such an obscure path.
Dominic is a thriving 11 year old boy who has achieved this level from working hard at many
different things.  Most of those things we had to discover on our own because the resources
did not exist to put it all together for us.  There is so much information to digest and without
a guide, it can be overwhelming.  The Dominic Center hopes to be able to be your guide
through this scary yet amazing journey.

Services are there, but they are difficult to access.  Treatment is available, but it is very
costly.  Support is around you but there are few centers that bring it all together under one
roof.  The Dominic Center is that forum.  As we each need to learn things through a variety
of ways, so holds true for an autistic child.  There are many things that work at different
stages but it is always best to allow the child to show you what works for them.

It is our mission to provide information and assist families in accessing services and
explaining the concepts of different programs to help their children reach their full
potential, whatever that may be.  We exist to answer the most important question of the
autistic epidemic: "My child is autistic, now what?"

(Thank you Dominic for showing me a different way to look at life!!  It appears that your
way offers more appreciation for small, mostly unnoticed things and without your guidance,
I may have missed them altogether. )
This is why we do what we do
